What is your photography style?
I have a strong documentary approach to my wedding photography and I try to avoid posing as far as possible. I don’t believe that there should be a preconceived formula to photographing weddings and I prefer to photograph things as they happen rather than kicking off a check list of required shots.
Who is your ideal client?
I am fascinated by people and I enjoy working with people who value photography and aren’t afraid to be themselves. Everyone is different so I like to get to know my clients before hand if possible and get into their head space in order to make images that are narrative and are unique to them and their story. My ideal client gives me a lot of information about themselves and then let me do my thing.
We don’t want posed images?
Often many couples are scared of the word “posed”, I prefer to use the word “guide”.
Many couples are not models, and that is OKAY!
I’m not a model myself, but I understand the use of good guidance can take an image from average to WOW! All the “posing” will be natural poses, laughing, having fun, making you comfortable in front of my lens.
How long will I wait for my wedding pictures to be ready?
It will take up to 12 weeks for me to deliver your wedding photos.
Can you make me slimmer?
Can you make me look younger?
I am afraid the short answer is no! I get asked the question a lot and my answer is always the same. I shoot what is in front of me. Capturing love and joy is the essence of my job! I am not the type of photography business that makes drastic digital changes to people and their appearances. I see beauty in everyone. I want you to be relaxed, to be yourself and all this will transfer itself directly onto the photographs.
How far in advance do you book weddings?
I typically book weddings 3 to 12 months in advance.
When you book your venue, I highly suggest booking your photographer not long after
or even better, contact me before you book your venue to check my availability and for venue suggestions
Will you be able to meet as before our wedding?
Yes of course!!
I’d love to have a quick meeting with you as couple
to discuss your wedding day schedule and details
Do you have a back-up plan in case there is an emergency
and you can’t shoot our wedding?
I was recently ask if that has ever happened to me, and I’m glad to say it has not!!
If for some crazy unforeseen reason I can’t photograph your wedding. I will get one of my talented wedding photographer friends to capture your wedding. I promise I have backup plans because you are my clients and I will make sure you are taken care of.
What camera do you use?
I am a Nikon girl and have spend years building up my equipment.
I have a Nikon D810 and a Nikon D750. I also have a wide range of lenses.
Can we edit any of the pictures you give us?
The answer is no! And here is why;
Reason #1 – I spend days and days editing your images to perfection.
Reason #2 – you hire me for my style in both posing and editing so I have to assume you like my editing style and don’t want to change a thing.
Reason #3 – I’m not just a service provider and a person who owns a nice camera.
I am an artist with a style of my own who wants my work to be shown to friends and family as I see it .
Reason #4 – you wouldn’t buy a finished painting and then paint over it, now would you?
Are you insured?
Yes! I am fully insured. All my equipment is covered for loss damages, etc.
Do you travel?
I love to travel around Namibia, and all over the world,
for weddings, and photo shoots. I charge N$ 5 per km.
If your venue is more than 100km from Windhoek, one night’s stay should be provided by the client. If the venue is more than 300km away, 2 nights stay should be booked, for myself and my assistant.
Do you do videography as well?
I sure do!! You can book me as either your wedding photographer,
or you wedding videographer.
What will you wear to the wedding?
It depends. Most of the time I wear all black. But if your wedding is a beach themed, outdoor wedding, I will dress appropriately!
